Mangaluru: Tulu comedy film'Anarkali' to capture tale of greiving heart

Mangaluru, Feb 24: The shooting of 'Anarkali' which is being produced by five friends will start in March. Ismael Moodushedde will call the shots after directing Kannada film 'Banna Bannada Baduku'. The photo shoot of the movie was held recently.

The plot of the movie revolves around the story of an aching heart. Anarkali, a character in the movie is a Joker,  who makes others laugh regardless of the amount of pain within him.

The film casts Manoj Puttur who entered Tulu film industry as a villain and found his luck in Sandalwood. He will be seen as the main lead for the first time in Coastalwood. He will be costarred by Shruthi Kotian, who entered Coastalwood with Tulu film 'Rambarooti'. Swapna plays the second lead.

"Kannada actor Shobharaj, Shivadhwaj Shetty and Pranesh Shetty will appear as villains. Sathish Bandale and Mimicry Sharad will make the audience laugh in their special roles. Most comedy artistes of the Tulu film industry will be seen in the film," said director Ismael. Shruthi Kotian plays a psychopath. Renowned cameraman Vinash Murthi will display his finesse.

"There are four songs in the film. Rajesh Bhat Moodbidri and Sathish Babu will write the lyrics. Rajesh Bhat is also the dance director of the songs in the film. Besides displaying elements of comedy, the movie tries to impart a moral message to the audience. Most part of the film will be shot in Panambur and Tannirbavi beach," Ismael added.
