Kinnigoli: Residential-cum-commercial complex 'New Jeruzalem Heights' inaugurated

Kinnigoli, Feb 26: 'New Jeruzalem Heights', a residential apartment and commercial shopping complex, near the bus stand in the heart of the Kinnigoli town, was inaugurated and blessed today.





























John and Lilly Sequeira, builders and promoters of the project inaugurated the building. Fr Vincent Monteiro, parish priest of Kinnigoli Church, Fr Rayan Crasta, assistant parish priest of Kinnigoli Church, Fr Ronald Coutinho, parish priest of Kateel Church blessed the premises.

Shalet Pinto, president of Dakshina Kannada Mahila Congress and ex-zilla panchayat vice-president presided over the programme. Philomena Sequeira, president of gram panchayat Kinnigoli, Arun D'Souza, PDO of Kinnigoli gram panchayat, Johnson Jerome D'Souza, member, Kinnigoli gram panchayat were the chief guests on the occasion.

Fr Vincent Monteiro in his inaugural address said, "Even though we call Kinnigoli a town, it is known for its speedy developement. Many commercial and residential apartments have come up in Kinnigoli".

He congratulated builders John and Lilly Sequeira for completing the project within a short time. He also invoked God's blessings for those who will stay in the apartment in future and do their business in the shopping complex.

Arun D'Souza said, that the building was constructed as per the norms, rules and regulations of the panchayat.

Remembering late Eugene Sequeira, mother of the builder, Fr Ronald Coutinho said that he was surprised to see the speedy development of Kinnigoli town.

Architect of the project, Reena Tauro of Nathan Associates, engineer and contractor of the building Chandrakanth Shibaroor, structural engineer Eknath, charted accountant Vivian Pinto and legal advisor Bhaskar Hegde Mulki were honoured on the ocassion.

Flat and shop owners of the building were also honoured and keys were handed over to them by the builders. Architect Reena Tauro briefly explained the special features of 'New Jeruzalem Heights' building. John Sequeira delivered the vote of thanks. Jossy Pinto compered the progamme. The programme ended with a fellowship meal.

Its a great proud event for all of us. It was a place where we had a great time during our childhood days, You have taken our grand parents name to the great heights, hats off to you and Lilly.     If I am not mistaken, sure you are Mrs. Eugene's son and Ramsey's brother ? Well, I am Fr. Gregory, Kurmbil Bareta Bari House, Kinnigoly.
    I was Ramsey's classmate till 5th std.

    Kinnigoli is a rich place to live now. All facilities are there. But, unfortunately, there are no industries are coming up.This is time to put up industries, call investors. So that our children will get jobs.
