Bengaluru: Diary not mine, ready for gallows if guilty - Lehar Singh

Bengaluru, Feb 27: BJP MLC and joint treasurer of BJP, Lehar Singh, has clarified that the diary purported to be belonging to him and noting in which are being circulated through social media do not belong to him. He has demanded for detailed investigation on the issue in its entirety and offered to hang himself in front of the party office if the investigation finds him to be guilty.

On Sunday February 26, Singh met city police commissioner, Praveen Sood, and handed over a criminal complaint seeking to investigate the incident of fake diary and bring to book the persons who uploaded it in social website. He also said that he would approach state high court seeking to order investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation about the fake diary incident. "I will also meet union home minister, Rajnath Singh, and plead with him to order CBI inquiry. State home minister, Dr G Parameshwar, will be personally approached and urged to order an investigation," he stated.

He told the media persons that neither the diary claimed to be belonging to him nor the handwriting appearing in social websites pertain to him. Singh also said that he will approach state director general of police, Rupak Kumar Dutta, and hand over a complaint seeking to investigate forging of his signature.

Singh however was critical of the city police commissioner who had refused to give him time when he sought an appointment with him. "When I went to his office, being a MLC and office bearer of a national party, he did not offer a seat to me, and tried to send me away by claiming that he does no do anything other than personal work on Sundays. Finally, after someone else intervened, he received my complaint. This stands testimony about the way the officer, who is efficient, is under pressure from the government," he added.
