Mangaluru: St Teresa church Paldane celebrates annual feast

Mangaluru, Feb 28: Blessed Teresa of Kolkata church at Paldane here celebrated its annual feast on Sunday February 26.

The Eucharistic celebration held at 8 am that day was led by priest of Kulshekar church, Fr Victor Machado. He extended greetings of the annual feast to the people and delivered a benedictory address.

Fr G W Vas, who participated as chief guest in the meeting programme held in the evening, said that unity automatically gets achieved if people come together and live in an environment of love and affection. He also handed over prizes to the winners of different competitions organized at the church on that day. Priest of the church, Fr V V Menezes, thanked everyone and the devotees for helping the church to celebrate its annual feast on such a grand scale.

Vice president of the parish council of the church, Roshan Lasrado, welcomed the gathering. Secretary of the parish council, Veena Lobo, presented a report. Cultural programmes were presented by the members of the church. At the end, a comic play, 'Mogachem Dood', authored and directed by Cyril Fernandes of the church, was staged.

Local corporator, Bhaskar K, Fr Darryl Fernandes, and others were present. The programme came to an end with community feast.
