Mumbai, Mar 1: Actor Aamir Khan is known for keeping his promises, but it seems this time he has gone back on his word and that too, to his alma mater, St Anne’s High School in Bandra.

When Aamir had visited the school three months back for a promotional shoot of his film Taare Zameen Par, he had promised that he would help the authorities improve the condition of the school, where he had studied till the seventh standard. But so far no one has heard from him.

“Aamir visited the school three months back for a shoot for his film Taare Zameen Par, and promised that he would be back in January to see what he could do to help. In fact, the school authorities have been waiting to hear from him, but calls to his office have gone unanswered,” sources say.

“In fact, this is not the first time that Aamir has gone back on his word. Around three years back he had come to the school for some work and promised that he would look into some repairs that the building needed. He had also promised to give some monetary help. That didn’t happen,” revealed the source further.

Incidentally, when Aamir had visited the school last December, he went to each and every classroom, interacting with kids and the staff, some of whom remembered him coming to school as a child, with brother Faisal in tow.

When contacted, the principal of the school, Mrs G Gonsalves said, “He did visit our school for a promotional shoot last December, and promised to return in the first week of January when he would be a little free. However, we have not heard from him since then.”
