Mercury dips in Delhi


New Delhi, March 12 (IANS): The minimum temperature dipped to 10.5 degrees Celsius, five notches below the season's average, owing to rains here on the second consecutive night.

According to the weather office, Delhi received 6.1 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.

The Met office forecast a clear sky ahead in the day.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 93 per cent, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Saturday's maximum temperature settled at 23.6 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season's average, and the minimum temperature was 11.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
