Congress rejects Hariprasad's resignation


New Delhi, March 15 (IANS): The Congress leadership on Tuesday refused to accept the resignation of party General Secretary B.K. Hariprasad, who offered to quit the post owning moral responsibility for the partys dismal performance in the recent Odisha Panchayat elections.

Hariprasad, who was in-charge of the party's affairs in Odisha, submitted his resignation to Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. "The party leadership has refused to accept my resignation," Hariprasad told IANS.
