MHA for better monitoring of foreign accounts: Minister

New Delhi, March 15 (IANS): The Home Ministry has been in touch with the RBI to enable better monitoring of foreign accounts, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju told the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

The ministry has requested the Reserve Bank of India to integrate FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) accounts with Public Financial Management System for this purpose, he said in a written reply.

"It will enable the ministry to monitor receipt and utilisation of foreign contributions credited in such bank accounts," Rijiju said.
