Rahul says BJP used money power to form govts in Manipur, Goa

Chandigarh, Mar 16 (PTI) : Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today charged the BJP with "stealing" the mandate of people in Goa and Manipur and forming governments in these states by using money power.

"The BJP used money power in Manipur and Goa. They stole the mandate of the people...," Gandhi said while replying to a question on BJP forming government in Manipur as well as in Goa, where Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar won the trust vote today.

The Congress leader was speaking on the sidelines of the swearing-in of Capt Amarinder Singh as Punjab Chief Minister at a function in Raj Bhavan here.

On Punjab, Rahul, who had a brief interaction with reporters, thanked the people of the state for showing faith in the Congress and assured them that the Amarinder Singh government will work tirelessly to take the state forward.

Dear Pappu, please do not come down to Karnataka in 2018 for campaigning even for once. Otherwise you will handover the next government to Yeddy & Shobakka without any effort from them. The simple example is : you had 23 seats in UP assembly in2012 election, 2007 more than 40 seats and now only 7 seats. Because of you Akhilesh also drowned in Ganges. If you have little shame you would have resigned but Italian products have no Shame!!!!!.

This is what the game plan of BJP. They have moved their black money to safer place before the declaration of demonetisation. They wanted is to be happened before the UP elections. They cut the wings of opponents by demonetisation. Every thing went according to their plan. The result is in front of us. So bjp utilised all black money in the election and oppositions became helpless. How is my story?

Raid the premises of independent MLAs in Goa and Manipur to know about the money exchanged. One should remember, demonetisation was imposed especially with forthcoming election (states anticipating elections) in mind, nothing else. And, at right time, BJP's offices got their cash converted.

    This is democracy.
