Bantwal: Newly married daily deposit collector commits suicide

Bantwal, Apr 1: A daily deposit collector working for a cooperative institution at Vittal ended his life at Ettukallu in Vitlapadnur village near Vittal on Friday March 31.

Shashidhar K (42), popularly known as Pigmy collection agent, hanged himself near his residence. Shashidhar had married on March 16. He had availed leave till March 22 for this purpose. On March 23, he applied for extension of leave as he was suffering from fever.

He reported for duty on March 30 and worked normally. It is said that the death of a close relative in a recent accident had made deep impact on his mind. He made a noose out of a sari and hanged from it from the roof at the veranda of a deserted house near his home.

A complaint about this suicide was filed in Vittal station. Police personnel of this station are investigating.

    what a sad news.why did he marry if he wanted to suecide within so short time.A closed relatives death may not the reason but some untold matter must have made himto take this strp.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.
