Puttur, April  4: A youth from Savanur in the taluk was stabbed and injured on Tuesday April 4 morning. The injured youth, identified as Asif, stands admitted into a private hospital in the town.

Reportedly this attack was the handiwork of a gang involved with ganja smuggling. A case about the incidents stands filed in Bellare police station.

Strangely, even long after the case was registered, police personnel had not visited the injured youth to question him about the incident and record the details.
