Mangaluru: Thief gains access to key, flees with car

Mangaluru, Apr 12: A thief who entered government residential quarters in PWD colony at Urwa Store here and searched for valuables got the car key. He then came out and fled with the car parked outside.

The incident happened on Tuesday, April 11. P Umesh (56), working as an accountant in a private firm, was away at work on Tuesday morning when the thief in question entered his house by removing the tiles. The thief was looking for cash and valuables but failed to get any. After finding the car key near the dining table, the thief went away with the car.

A case relating to the incident stands filed in Urwa police station.
