Kasargod, Apr 15: Renuka (20), daughter of Sridhar, a coolie by profession, ended her life on Thursday April 13. She was a first year MCom post graduate class student at Badiadka Cooperative College, and resident of Ubrangala near Kumbdaje, Badiadka.
The student used the veil of her churidar for making a noose which was then hung from the hook of a ceiling fan in her home, after which she hanged herself. The incident happened between 12.30 pm on Thursday when no one was around.
The victim has left behind parents and two sisters. Badiadka police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
