Margao Underground Cabling Found Faulty - Ultimatum Served

Margao, Mar 18: The underground Power cabling in Margao found faulty, when the test was conducted in the presence power minister Aleixo Sequeira.

Taking the cognizance of complained filed by one Ivo Faleiro, minister along with Power Grid Corporation of India, consultant for the system, contractor and engineers of electricity department conducted the test, in which the earth testing was found faulty, as there were no GI pipes to connect the earth strip.

When Sequeira asked about the faults, the concerned contractors could not answer him. He (Sequeira) then served ultimatum, if faults pertaining the underground cabling are not rectified within the stipulated period.  He also warned them of taking stringent action if the system is not repaired at the earliest. 

Sequeira has given them ten days to rectify all the problems, for better and smooth functioning of the system.

According to the contractor, underground power cabling in Margao is divided into six feeders. Joint inspection of same feeders will be done after ten days.

Meanwhile, smelling scam in the underground power cabling the complainant has asked for CBI probe into the whole matter.
