Bhubaneswar: Fake currency totalling Rs 3.5 lakh seized


Bhubaneswar, Apr 24 (IANS): Fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 3.5 lakh have been seized and two persons detained in Odisha's Sonepur district, police said on Monday.

The two were going towards Sonepur from Boudh carrying Rs 2 lakh in Rs 2,000 denomination and Rs 1.5 lakh in Rs 500 notes, police said.

Police said they were investigating the sources of the fake currency and the involvement of others in the incident.
