Pakistan envoy meets Trump, presents credentials


Washington, April 25 (IANS): Pakistan's Ambassador to the US, Aizaz Chaudhry, has presented his credentials to US President Donald Trump at the White House.

The envoy conveyed Pakistan's best wishes to Trump, who has completed 100 days in office, and said Islamabad was committed to strengthening friendly relations with Washington, Dawn online reported.

The envoy told Geo News that Trump, in his meeting on Monday, expressed good wishes for Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Chaudhry was Pakistan's Foreign Secretary since December 2013. Before that he served as the Foreign Office spokesperson.
