Bengaluru: Woman shoots husband in car, chases him as he takes bus


Bengaluru, May 6 (DHNS): In a scene straight out of a movie, a woman shot at her husband thrice inside a car, and managed to follow and intercept a bus that he boarded to continue the brawl.

Hamsa (47), however, was caught, disarmed and handed over to police by a few passengers.

The victim, 52-year-old M R Sairam, and wife Hamsa own a security agency, Ace Facility and Property Management.

According to the police, the couple had a troubled relationship over the past six years and was living separately. Sairam is a resident of HSR Layout.

On Friday, Sairam and Hamsa had some work at Hosur and were returning in his SUV when the incident happened at Thirumagondanahalli in Bommasandra near Surya City.

On their way back, they stopped for lunch and consumed alcohol as well. Over the course of the meal, they began to quarrel and the fight continued when they resumed the trip.

Sairam punched Hamsa a couple of times. A frustrated Hamsa, who was behind the wheel, slowed down, took out a pistol and shot Sairam in the abdomen thrice.

The weapon belonged to Sairam and he used to keep it in the vehicle and Hamsa was aware of this, police said.An injured Sairam got out of the SUV and boarded a BMTC bus.

    @Dev kumar,manganaoor,it is simple .since they were living seperately,she must have driven the car ,as he wasnot in a position to drive ,due to excessive alcohol.and he couldnt tolerate driven by the wife and was commenting contnueously ,as mostly men do.Still she has gone too far to shoot him.she could have thrown him out of the car.So can a quarrel between a seperated couple can end.
