Udupi, May 11: A married woman has complained to the Padubidri police station against her distant relative accusing him of harassing her and threatening her of uploading her videos and photos in social media.

Abbas, a resident of Moodu Palimar who works in a hotel in New Delhi, is the accused.

The woman has also said in her complaint that Abbas threatened her that she would become a victim of acid attack if she did not respond to his sexual advances.

As per the complaint, Abbas would come to the village very often from New Delhi. Every time he came, he visited the complainant married woman. He took her indecent photos and videos and later said that he would post them in social media if she did not agree for sex with him. She gave her Rs 5 lac fearing the consequences.

But that did not stop Abbas from stopping his threats and advances. He threatened her with acid attack if she did not agree for his demands.

The woman also says in the complaint that Abbas has been following her for the past 20 days with a demand that she should leave her husband and come with him. On May 7, when she went to Padubidri, Abbas followed her on bike and demanded sex with acid threat again.

Meanwhile relatives of the woman said that Padubidri police took time in registering the complaint. A case stands registered there.
