Mangaluru, May 17: It is a matter of pride that many of the beauties and talents in Sandalwood and Bollywood are from Tulunadu. The suave and dapper Sandeep P Shetty has been one of them. He has earned his name in the glamour industry as an actor and model.
Recently qualifying for Fashion ABCD's Mr World, Sandeep will represent India in the pageant in July in Europe. He was recently declared the winner of Mr and Miss Karnataka by Fashion ABCD and Sizzling Guys studio.
Sandeep has been a judge in several dance reality shows including Junior Masti hosted by Daijiworld TV and holds a record of judging 103 programmes so far.
His history in the glamour world comes a long way. Sandeep who is mostly seen in modelling and advertisements has won several prizes during his college days. In 2005, Sandeep won Namaste India, a fashion show by Karavali College. He has also judged a fashion show for medical colleges in Rajarajeshwari Medical College Bengaluru.
Sandeep hails from Katipalla and is a Bachelor of Hospitality Science and a diploma holder in film acting. However, besides education, he got pulled toward film world. He had immense desire to be an actor, besides modelling. Therefore, he joined Adarsh Film Institute, Bengaluru. He learnt acting, dance, fighting and all that is required to be an actor and got down into film world.
Sandeep started his production house SSK in 2014. Man of many talents, Sandeep is also an interior designer.
Sandeep spoke about his two passions, "I have been a part of Coastalwood since a young age. I acted as a child artiste in 'Partha' with Sudeep when I was 14. I promoted the Tulu movie 'Baduku' at 19. But Coastalwood did not have much response back then, which is why I gravitated towards modelling again. I choreographed Bunts Sangha Dubai 2011 and then went on to reality shows in 2014. Modelling was my dream. I started it when I was 16.
"I was selected for Mr Karnataka in 2014 but was not able to go because of some commitments back then," he said.
Sandeep started his journey by acting with several short films. His first film as an actor was Tulu film 'Baduk' in 2008. He then was a part of many Kannada short movies. 'Subage' his Tulu short movie, in 2016 had a huge number of youtube viewers.
Sandeep is seen in the Tulu album song 'Mokeda Magal' released in 2008. He also Produced a serial for Doordarshan called 'Nenapina Nave' in 2009.
Sandeep is a good orator and has been the guest in several programmes. He has a good physique, height and above all the ability to act. He will also feature in the upcoming Kannada-Tulu movie 'Sakkath College Life' as a 'chocolate hero'. The movie, whose shoot will commence soon, will be directed by Manju Shetty and produced by SSK productions.
