Hot Saturday morning in Delhi, rain likely ahead


New Delhi, May 20 (IANS): The national capital woke up to a partly cloudy Saturday morning with the minimum temperature recored at 28.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the Met office said.

"There would be partly cloudy sky on Saturday with possibility of thunderstorm and rain," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 42 per cent.

Friday's maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded 41.4 and 27.4 degrees Celsius, each one notch above the season's average, respectively.
