Kundapur, Apr 4: Indian dramas have been enriching the lives of the common people since many years, said noted writer K Shivananda Karanth here on Thursday April 3.

He was speaking on the occasion of universal day of theatres and dramas observed under aegis of Ranga Adhyayana Kendra at Bhandarkar’s College. He added that the way Shakespeare wrote his plays was highly commendable. His inimitable forays into all possible domains of human feeling had enabled him to reach the zenith of matchless glory. He wrote remarkable dramas which his successors could not even imitate.

Karanth also had a few words of wisdom to the trainees at the center. He said an actor should always follow the director. The trainees should sustain and develop a life-long interest for theatricals, which would undoubtedly make life interesting, he advised.

Principal Prof Narayana Rao and convener Prof Vasanth Bannadi were present.
