Goa: Two UK Nationals Among Four Tourists Drowned

Goa, Apr 6: Four tourists including two foreigners died due to drowning on North Goa's two different beaches this evening.
 
Police stated that a two UK nationals, who had gone for a swim at Morjim beach, were carried away in the waters with the strong current.
 
Dead bodies were later fished out of water by locals with the help of police.
 
While police could establish identity of 70-year-old UK national Horne Stanley Williams, they are still clueless about the identity of second body, a female foreigner in her mid-30s.
 
In a similar drowning at Vagator beach, 40 kms away from Morjim, two Indian tourists got drowned in the waters. Police are yet to establish their identity.

    "The Government of Goa should shoulder the blame for all drowning cases. The beaches lack adequate beach towers, well-trained life guards, non-existance of boards guiding swimmers how, when and where to swim and inadequate equipment for the life guards for saving life at sea"
