All-India Billawa Union Appoints Suchit Kumar Organising Secratary for Gulf

Dubai, Apr 8: One of the well known community leaders both in Mumbai earlier and now in Dubai, Suchit Kumar has been  appointed  as the honourable organising secretary for Gulf region for the Akhila Bharatha Billawa Union, Mangalore .  

In a communique, Navinchandra D Suvarna, president of Akila Bharatha Billawa Union said that Suchit Kumar was an unanimous choice by the committee of Akhila Bharatha Billawa Union.

The ever-helpful  Suchit is closely associated with Sudhakar Thumbay and Daya Kirodian who are  the founders of Billawa Balaga Dubai. He is also well-connected with most prominent Billawa leaders of Mumbai, Mangalore and the Gulf region. 

Akhila Bharat Billawa Union was established in 1912 and is the governing body of Shri Gokarnateshwara Temple, Billawara Mahila Wing, Billawara Youth Wing, Shri Narayana Guru Seva Dala, Shri Narayana Guru Mobile Hospital, Narayana Guru Yakshagana Mandali and Publisher of Guruvani monthly.

When contacted,  Suchit said that it was a great honour to be associated with Akhila Bharatha Billawa Union and thanked the executive committee for having bestowed their trust on him. He said that he has lot of admiration for Navinchadra D Suvarna and his father the late Damodar Suvarna who was a Great Billawa Social worker and founder of many charity institutions and had inspired the founding of Gokarnatheshwara College.

Navinchandra D Suvarna is the president of Akhila Bharatha Billavara Union Mangalore and also president of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district Hindulida Jathigala Okkoota.  He is the chairman of Narayana Swamy Educational Trust, Kudroli, Mangalore and managing trustee of Niranjana Swamy Educational Trust, Sunkadakatte in Karnataka.  He is one of the trustees in Devaraj Urs, Medical College, Kolar and Brahma Sree Narayana Guru Educational Trust, Katipalla. He is the recipient of several awards including Bharatiya Udyog Ratna award and Dr K V Shankerlinge Gowda best Social Worker award.

Suchit is a leading and active member of the local Billawa Balaga in Dubai involved with  various social projects including aid to needy students, expatriates and the like.  He has initiated interesting cultural programmes also to generate awareness of the Billawa community and their support to the deserving cases.

Although a major responsibility to see the entire Gulf region, with his experience and ability to foresee things Suchit seems an apt choice in the bigger visions of the Akhila Bharatha Billawa Union.

The president, Navinchandra D Suvarna felt that Suchit was an ideal and promising choice to project their goals especially in the Gulf region.  There are various plans already laid out by the Akhila Bharatha Billawa Union and Suchit's appointment heralds a new era for the popular community.
 
Suchit is placed in a top position in an IT firm as a successful senior manager and happily married to Smitha with a sweet little daughter named Nidhi who are all in Dubai.
 
With Suchit at the helm in the Gulf activities of the Akhil Bharatha Billawa Union one can only expect more good things to come sooner than later.
