Panaji, Apr 17: In an Indian angle to the international sex trade, the State police have unearthed involvement of Nagpur-origin youth, Rohit Trivedi in the sex racket involving Uzbekistani girls.

State's crime branch had busted the racket arresting four Uzbek girls last week.

Police have already issued a look out notice for Uzbek woman Gulnovra Jureau, 40, who is a coaccused along with Rohit.

Crime branch police inspector Sandesh Chodankar said that the police are looking out for Rohit who is basically from Nagpur and operating from goa for last couple of years. We are keeping a track on his activities.

Police investigation received a set back after their failed in getting the exact name of a kingpin.  "Initially, we had no information about the woman. It was only after four Uzbek girls were arrested for flesh trade, we managed to get the information about her," Chodankar said.

Goa's crime branch sleuths busting an alleged international sex racket had arrested four Uzbekistani girls – Nigora Mahrapova, 28, Rizavea Nargiza, 23, Elvira Yusupova, 33 and Rakhimova Nurkhon, 35 – in Panaji.

Chodankar said that the lady has been found missing and all the attempts were made to track her down. "She cannot avoid the look out notice as it will prohibit her from crossing the borders," a police official said.

The high profile sex racket involving Uzbekistani girls was unearthed last week by crime branch who trapped the girls sending a decoy.

After the arrests, the girls had disclosed about Jureau, who initially was mistaken by police as a Russian lady. "We did not even had her proper name. but we worked on few leads which gave all the details about her," a senior police official stated.

Police investigations have revealed that the girls had attained Indian visa under different pretexts. One amongst these girls had stated that she is coming to India to study fashion designing.

Investigating authorities stated that Nargiza, youngest in the lot, had arrived in India on April 8, a day before she was arrested under immoral traffic act.

Police revealed that one of the girl had applied with authorities in Bangalore to extend her visa.

Except Nargiza, all other girls had come to Goa between December and January.
