Kundapur, Jul 3: A youth who accidentally slipped and fell into an agricultural field breathed his last at Kambarakodlu near Gangolli in the taluk on Saturday July 1.
Cheluva (28), resident of Koraga Colony of Movady, Hosadu village, was the victim of this accident. Cheluva, who had left home on Saturday after lunch was not to be seen. At around 6 pm the same day, his body was found lying in standing water in the agricultural field belonging to Makkimane Ramanna Shetty, Kambarakodlu.
It is suspected that the youth would have slipped when walking through the slippery path marking boundaries of fields and fallen into the slushy field, unable to stand up again. As no one walked by that path for long, the youth could not be rescued in time.
A case about this incident was filed at Gangolli police station.
