Maoist leader arrested in Chhattisgarh


Raipur, July 3 (IANS): A Maoist leader carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head was arrested in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district on Monday, police said.

According to police, the arrested Maoist, Mandam Joga, is the president of the Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangh (DAKMS). 

Bijapur Superintendent of Police K.L. Dhruv told IANS that central security forces personnel apprehended Joga from the Putkel forest area.
