CBI raids at premises of Lalu Yadav's family over hotel tender

New Delhi, Jul 7 (PTI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday carried out searches at the premises of family members of former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with a fresh case of alleged irregularities in awarding the tender for maintenance of hotels.

The case has been registered against the then railway minister, his wife Rabri Devi, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and his son Tejashwi, the then IRCTC MD, PK Goyal, the wife of Yadav's confidante Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata, and others, CBI sources said.

Gupta is a former Union corporate affairs minister.

The sources said the FIR relates to allegations of irregularities in the tender for development, maintenance and operation of BNR Hotels in Ranchi and Puri, awarded to the private Sujata Hotels in 2006.

The BNR Hotels are heritage hotels of the Railways which were taken over by the IRCTC from the public transporter earlier in the 2006.

Searches are being conducted at 12 locations including Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Puri and Gurgaon on Friday, they said.

    CBI does not know the address of Vasundhara Raje, Yeddiyurappa, Jaitley, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, The Great Bellary Reddy's etc etc.

    Karthik Karkera......First think you should know is "No political party can run the show without black money and corruption" It is foolishness to predict that Congress is corrupt and BJP is non corrupt....

    One simple Eg: SBI records of loans to Gautam Adani firms cannot be disclosed: Central Information Commission

    Can you please explain why the above privilege given to Mr.Adani's company only????
    According to SEBI, ED and the Tax departments all companies should disclose their assets and liablities in the annual report. Only Adani group is exempted.

    Just by saying Congress was and is Corrupt, BJP cannot be non corrupt.

    All their Illegal Properties & Wealth should also immediately be confiscated.

    If Lalu is arrested, just watch how is going to play card. There will be bandh and public property poor and damage by hooligans officially known as Lalu Fans. Mera Bharat Mahan.
    These goons work for few hundred rupees notes and daru.

    Lallu is far innocent..

    The worlds most corrupt family with over 2lak crore looted money is still enjoying with thai massage and the clueless slaves clapping and clapping.. while this man who in that standards look pale with just 5000 crore certainly innocent and sicklar..LOL
