Student held at Agartala airport with Swiss knives


Agartala, Jul 10 (IANS): A Kolkata-bound engineering student was nabbed at the airport here on Sunday evening after he was found to be carrying two Swiss knives in his shoes, police said.

"Central Industrial Security Force officials detained Prasenjit Ghosh, 21, after they found two Swiss knives concealed in his shoes while frisking," police official Kantilal Baidya told IANS.

Ghosh, an engineering student of a Kolkata-based institution, and three people accompanying him were handed over to police, he added.

Police would produce the four, all hailing from Tripura, in court on Monday.

Police were trying to find out the motive of the passenger for carrying the knives.
