Panaji, Apr 25: A labourer died while another was seriously injured when a slab of under construction building collapsed at Candolim village, 20 kms away from here, on Friday Apirl 25 afternoon.
The search is now on to find out whether there are any more labourers trapped in the debris.
Fire and emergency services officials stated that the slab caved in when the work was going on. A labourer died on the spot while fire services managed to rescue another labourer from the debris.
He was immediately shifted to Goa medical college and hospital.
Three fire tenders have been pressed in rescue operation. "No one is sure whether there are more labourers trapped inside," an official present at the accident site stated.
