Mysuru: BJP ignites fire, we extinguish - CM reacts on Yeddyurappa's statement

Mysuru, Jul 15 (DC) : Siddaramaiah, who arrived in Mysuru on a two-day visit to launch several developmental schemes, told the media, "It is their hidden agenda to stir up communal issues and keep them alive. Have they built Ram mandir in Ram Janam bhoomi so far? They ignite fire and warm themselves. Their intention is not to douse the flame or resolve disputes, but we (Congressmen) extinguish the fire. This is the difference between BJP and Congress."

He was strongly reacting on Yeddurappa's satement in Mangaluru during press conference, "If Kalladka Bhat is arrested, then whole state will see fire and chief minister Siddaramaiah will be responsible for the consequences"

Siddaramaiah in Mysuru on Friday

On Union minister for state commerce and industries Nirmala Seetharaman's statement that the law and order problem would affect investment, he said, "Where is the law and order problem except for that in Mangaluru which is created by the BJP? Let her make such statements in UP, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. The law and order situation is under control even in Mangaluru. It is only the BJP which is creating problems."

When asked about regulating activities of SDPI, PFI and others, and if the cases had increased after withdrawing old ones against these organisations, he said: "We have not withdrawn any cases against anyone. We have directed police officers to initiate action on any organisation be it PFI or SDPI or RSS or Bajrang Dal or Sri Rama Sene if they make inflammatory speeches. With elections within a year, they are stoking trouble. Yeddyurappa is now 75. It is his last attempt. So he wants to become CM somehow. He is frustrated and desperate, but it is not possible. Will people forget that he had been to jail?"

Defending the statement of forests minister B Ramanath Rai, he said: "He has said that action should be initiated against those who take law into their hands. What is wrong in it?"

On BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje's statement that the CM's decision to send Kempaiah to handle the situation in Mangaluru had demoralized the police force, he shot back "Is there any truth in that? Where is it that I have sent him? I have not asked him to go. Without knowing facts, she has made baseless allegations.”

Yeddi may have exhausted many crores he "earned" for favors to Reddys. He's hitting the Rock bottom
    of the HUE POT.
Now he wants to come back by "Hook or Crook"
He has to support Shobakka too!
He is creating unrest so the Karnataka Govt looks BAD! Yeddi its NOT AS BAD AS WHEN YOU'RE the
    CM!!!!
Quit blaming Congress - look back on your administration - it's wasn't "RAMA-RAJYA" it's :RAVANA
    RAJYA"
BJP can never deliver a honest Government! They have too many GOONDAS working for them!

Those dead are dead and gone, few arrested few not, if unrest created or not it will not get lives back we need to think that first. It is important though to arrest the culprits. If one does not find clues, they open new books and start revenging it and again creating disturbance. Atleast one should take a subtle stand. I see CM front facing most of the time and giving solutions too, is any other Minister able to do it in Karnataka other than blame game. I think seeing is believing.
Frankly I have lost count on the nuisance in the past as long as the present situation is under control should be good enough at the moment.

As a Chief Minister you have to be neutral rather than taking sides.Do not play blame game to depict yourself as a saint when violence is at peak in Mangalore District.Try to solve the issue judiciously and amicably.Senior leaders of political parties should mind their language and behavior.

But, BJP is Bharath Jalao Party ( pls refer to Nalin Kateel's and Yeddiurappa's statements)

..this is the policy since 1947, fueling anger, igniting fire and pretending like extinguishing and celebrating like sicular, savior of democracy..if your ministers desist from appeasing, giving statements only against one Organisation, stop witch hunting for political reasons..whole communal riots, killings will stop in DK..moreover there is urgent need to concentrate on whats happening in Bhatkal and border state Kerala..

you only created the situation to talk like that. you are talking like congress leader & they are talking as bjp leader what is the difference? why you have skipped your udupi Krishna mutt visit alongwith our president? when you are talking about communal goondas why you are naming Hindu community only. why sharath's death announcement was delayed? who is responsible for not donating his eyes? as a CM you should treat all the people equally. dont adopt divide & rule policy. try to avoid vote bank politics.

..BJP was almost a dead Horse in state..they had many issues to counter state Govt but mum & busy in internal fight..But in DK, arrogance of 3 Congress ministers, appeasement, community love of MLAs given life straw to BJP..

otherwise, there is no notable issues other than Yettinahole(there also BJP in fix beacuse of DVS)..

Congress will suffer in DK because of ego war & witch hunt..communal fight would have easily resolved, stopped but unnecessarily complicated.. by just targeting a particular community members..except KHADER all Congress candidate in shacky ground..
