Light showers expected in Delhi


New Delhi, Jul 15 (IANS): Delhiites woke up to overcast skies following light rains in parts of the national capital on Saturday with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.

The weather official forecast overcast conditions with developments of light rain or thundershowers in the city during the day.

"The sky will be generally cloudy with possibility of light rain or thundershowers towards afternoon," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 38 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 80 per cent.

On Friday, the maximum temperature settled at 38.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal, while the minimum was recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, a notches above the season's average.
