Mangaluru, Jul 15: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader on Saturday, July 15 said that Vajradehi Swamiji should share the exclusive clues related to Sharath Murder case with concerned officials.
It may be recalled, Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Math, who is also the honourary president of Hindu Rakshana Samiti, on July 14 had claimed that he had 'exclusive' clue to RSS worker Sharath Madivala murder case, and also that he would reveal it National Investigation Agency (NIA) if they were to probe the case.
Addressing mediapersons, Khader said, "If Vajradehi Swamiji has clues, he should help the concerned officials nab Sharath's killers. If not, it will be an offense of suppressing the facts and truth under IPC. Dakshina Kannada is coming back to normalcy. The main culprits behind the communal unrest will be detained. People should be united to catch the culprits and conspirators behind the unrest. We need to cooperate with the police. Instead of blaming each other, we need to join hands to maintain peace in the district,"
Refuting allegations of his role in delaying Sharath’s death news, Khader said, "This is common. This would have happened even if I had visited the hospital or vice-versa. This is an administrative issue and the hospital authorities should have clarified about the same. I had visited the hospital to have a look at Sharath's condition,"
Speaking about compensation to the families of Ashraf and Sharath, he said, "The government has instructed the deputy commissioner and the police to prepare records of both Ashraf and Sharath. There is some procedure to be followed. The government will compensate both the families in some time."
Verification of Ration card
"The revenue department and village accountants have already started the verification of ration cards. Everything is being worked out to make sure that ration cards are delivered within a month to people. Several issues have been resolved with permanent solutions. I have also urged the gram panchayat, zilla panchayat, taluk panchayat and corporation to go through every ward to check the availability of ration card in each house. Officials have to check the annual incomes of families which should be Rs 1,20,000 and prepare a checklist which has to be sent to concerned centre in the locality. The village accountant needs to check their aadhar number, annual income and cross check the family members. We have already revoked the electricity bill criteria. There is a possibility of APL card holders having BPL cards and in these cases this should be brought to the notice of the department and action will be taken," he said.
“The verification of ration cards is already is process. It will be completed in 15 days. Ration card will be delivered to the concerned families in a month's time," informed Khader.
