Indonesia rejects repatriation of IS-linked nationals

Jakarta, July 17 (IANS): The Indonesian government has rejected the repatriation of its nationals nabbed in Syria who were involved in Islamic State (IS) linked activities, Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu said on Monday.

He made the statement following the arrests of Indonesian citizens in Syria for their involvement with the terror group, reports Xinhua news agency.

"Do not return home, keep staying there. Fight there until dead," he said at the State Palace.

Indonesia has witnessed a spate of suicide bombings linked to the IS group.

The security authorities in Indonesia have stepped up their alertness against militants as the country has been included in the group's global target.
