Light showers expected in Delhi


New Delhi, Jul 18 (IANS): It was a cloudy Tuesday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius, the season's normal, the weather office said.

"The sky will be generally cloudy. There is possibility of light rain or thunderstorm towards afternoon or evening," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 88 per cent.

On Monday, the maximum temperature settled at 36.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal, while minimum was recorded at 29.1 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
