11 die in China road accident

Beijing, Jul 22 (IANS): Eleven persons were killed and nine injured when a bus with 19 onboard collided with a truck in China's Hebei province, an official said on Saturday.

Eight people died on the spot and three succumbed to their injuries in a hospital after the collision occurred in Zhangjiakou city on Friday morning, Xinhua news agency reported.

One of the injured is in critical condition, the official said.

The drivers of the two vehicles are being treated in the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
