Mangaluru, Jul 28: Konkani music sensation Kevin Misquith, who is popular for his melodious hits all over the globe is now all set to perform his concert in London for the first time. It is a dream come true for not only the singer himself but also the Konkani diaspora in London to witness a new age Konkani music concert here.

Two Konkani Associations in UK namely SKA London and KCA-UK, based in Manchester, have come together to organize this mega event in London

The concert is scheduled to be held on Sunday October 22 at Harrow Arts Centre in London. This concert is a charitable event and the proceeds from this concert will be handed over to St Joseph Prashanth Nivas, a rehabilitation centre for differently-abled in Mangaluru.

For those who believe that Konkani music fails to attract today’s youth, Clive Kevin Misquith is certainly an exception.
When the common catchphrase one often hears these days is 'Konkani music has no future', this young singer has not just attracted, but has taken a plunge into the Konkani music field with remarkable success. Today Kevin is a well-known name in Konkani speaking households which goes to prove beyond doubt that Konkani music does attract youngsters.

Having made his debut as a teenager at 17, Kevin is now sitting pretty with more than 45 musical shows and more than five CDs to his credit. With a few more shows scheduled for this season Kevin is moving in the right path in his goal of keeping the legacy of Konkani music alive and kicking.

SKA-London and KCA-UK associations will make sure the event is organized in the best way and have requested Konkani music lovers in London to not miss this event.
