Kundapur, May 6: Addressing the Congress workers' meet organized at R N Shetty hall here, former KPCC president Janardhan Poojary said that it is quite possible for the Congress party to win the forthcoming assembly election with clear majority provided the party workers carry the Congress message with their achievements made at the center especially the loan waiver scheme benefiting the farmers to the extent of Rs 60,000 crore and distribute the party manifesto to each and every house in all the polling booth of the assembly constituencies.
The union minister Oscar Fernandes also addressed the workers and said that a recent pre-election survey stated that the Congress would win the majority and they should therefore work hard in union. They should also be vigilant as to see that voters would not fall a prey to any kind of enticements that their opponents might offer.
The former member of the parliament Vinaya Kumar Sorake also made an appeal to the workers to see that K Jayaprakash Hegde, judged as the best candidate of all by the media be elected with a thumping majority. Jayaprakash Hegde, Prathapchandra Shetty, Raju Poojary and others were present during the meet.
