Nobody capable of challenging Modi in 2019 elections, says Nitish Kumar

Patna, Jul 31 (Agencies): In his first press conference after re-joining hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bihar Chief Minister on Monday said that no person or political party is capable of challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2019 general election.

"Given the current political scenario, no one can compete with Narendra Modi," Nitish said at a press conference.

Talking about Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filing graft charges against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, he explained that he had given Lalu Yadav ample opportunities to explain the charges of corruption against him, but to no avail.

If Lalu had explained himself over the corruption allegations, then the situation could have been different in Bihar, Nitish said.

"I had asked Lalu to clarify the allegations of corruption against him and put the facts forward. It will send a positive impact on the public and which is also good for 'mahagathbandhan'. I have tolerated everything, thought this happens in alliance as I didn't have a choice. I continued my work for the betterment of people," he added.

Meanwhile, Lalu has invited the Janata Dal (United) co-founder Sharad Yadav to lead the fight against the BJP and Nitish, who, according to him, joined hands with "communal and fascist forces and betrayed the people's mandate".

"Nitish has tarnished the image of Ambedkar. I urge Sharad Yadav, whom we consider the true leader, to travel to every corner of the country and come to Bihar and join our fight against the BJP and Nitish Kumar," Lalu said.

On July 26, Nitish resigned as the chief minister and ended the two-year alliance with RJD and Congress over corruption charges against his deputy and Lalu Yadav's son Tejaswi Yadav.

Even the owners of Titanic ship claimed its a unsinkable ship, but sank during its first trip. No leader is is required to counter him as sheer frustration of voters is enough to defeat him. With zero achievements its credit during the last three years , voters are eager to boot them out like they did to then Vajapee govt although BJP claiming India shining at that time and all media houses predicting easy win for them.Nithish has lost his self respect.

You don't have to bother about INC as it has got nothing to lose. It is arrogant BJP who is in the hot seat and will have to be answerable to public soon.

P.S: Don't forget what happened to the invincible Vajpayee led BJP government in 2004.

Vajpayee and Modi is no comparison dear, Vajpayee used to lead a coalition government of 24 parties. Modi is leading a full majority government of his own. Also it's Amit Shah who is the BJP President now.BJP is winning state after state and expanding its presence all over India today. Opposition is nowhere today
