Bengaluru: Former DySP Anupama Shenoy seeks probe in CM’s Hublot watch case

Daijiworld Media Network- Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Aug 1: Former deputy superintendent of police (DySP) Anupama Shenoy has submitted a petition to Assembly Speaker K B Koliwad requesting him to direct the police to register an FIR against people who gifted expensive Hublot watch to chief minister Siddaramaiah.

The petition states that the state government has awarded two projects to a company by bypassing all rules. It also says that Dr Girish Chandra Varma who gifted the watch to the chief minister was working for that company.

Anupama has sought protection for the diamond-studded Hublot watch as it is evidence in the corruption.

Hublot watch issue was almost buried after Siddaramaiah gave it to the government making it as ‘state property’. Anupama Shenoy, who was in limelight for sometime after she resigned from her post last year, was keeping a low profile till now.

When there was controversy over FEKU’s 10 lakhs suit, his own cabinet minister (Steel) Birender Singh Chaudhary came up defending FEKU and said "I wear a watch worth Rs 9 lakh and shoes worth Rs 45,000. Not only big industrialists, even farmers like me can wear (expensive clothes). What is wrong if Modiji wears a suit worth Rs 10 lakh?"

Madam Anupama must be not aware of it… otherwise, she would have demanded CBI enquiry on both FEKU and his minister !!!

She is trying to rake up an issue which is already closed. The watch was surrendered to the Government authorities.

I get a feeling that BJP is using such pawns out of desperation because they have nothing against the ruling Siddu led INC government. Eitherways BJP will lose in 2018.

Surrendering watch to vidhansouda doesn't make cm clean.
We have seen government employees going to jail for accepting bribe as less as 500 rupees.
So I feel impartial enquiry required in this case and should be investigated thoroughly...

There is no proof of corruption against Siddu. These are just baseless allegations by BJP backed agents out of desperation.

Speaking of BJP, Do you know that Amit Shah's assets have increased by a whopping 300 percent? What is his source of income?

How is it humanly possible for a politicians asset to grow by a massive 300% in a short span of time?? smell something fishy.

It looks like some political parties promised her a seat during forthcoming election. Suppose, if all conditions were met by the government during her tenure and things have gone as she wished, then she wouldn't have raised these issues at all.

    Unfortunately, honesty is lost.

Karnataka elections are closing in, so the BJP is up to their usual game i.e. looking for dirt on the Congress party to use as election campaigning material. Under the BJP rule it seems that the only serious crime is financial corruption. Mob lynching, communal riots, incitement are not serious crimes.
IPS officers like DIG Roopa, former DySP Anupama Shenoy should avoid being made political pawns by the BJP. However, if the police officers' primary intentions are political gain and not crime solving then they must be treated as politicians and not as officers of the law. Crime solving should be not be selec-tive only to favour your political leanings/affiliations. Unfortunately, that is what is happening today with the caged parrot working overtime against the political opponents of the BJP.
