Mumbai, Aug 2: The media recently carried a story about a 14-year-old boy from Mumbai becoming first ever victim for 'Blue Whale Suicide Challenge' game in India. It is not certain whether this boy was actually the victim of this game. Hundreds of children from various countries across the world have already lost their lives to this deadly game.

The death of the boy allegedly to this dangerous game has evince much interest in its creator. The creator of this game, Philipp Budeikin (22), who is a Russian, is currently lodged in a Siberian jail after a court sent him there last month. He has been charged with encouraging 16 school girls to commit suicide by taking part in the said game which he had invented in 2013.

During investigation, Budeikin confessed to the police that in his view, the victims of his game were mere biological waste who were happy to die and that he was in fact cleansing the society of this waste.

Philipp began to contact teenagers since 2013 online over skype and chose weak-minded ones for this game. After convincing the children to take part in the 'Blue Whale Challenge', he gave them different tasks for 50 days. The tasks, which were easy in the initial stages, turned complicated and involved violence as the game progressed. With the completion of each task, the players became eligible for next level. They had to provide evidence of having completed the tasks through photos and videos.

Slicing of blood vessels, piercing one's body with needles, killing of animals etc were among the tasks he prescribed. The final task would be to kill themselves.

Initially Philipp directly got involved with the game but later formed teams. He said in an interview that he purposefully pushed the children towards suicide. He also claimed that making the players happy was his goal and that he could make the players understand some things which they would never have understood all their life. Philipp has dismissed the claim that his game has accounted for 130 lives so far. He says he had directly incited 17 persons to commit suicide while the others ended lives by informing him, although he had never influenced them to end their lives. He also said that 28 more are ready to end their lives.
