Any condition that increases the pressure of the abdominal cavity may contribute to formation or worsening of hernia. Surgical belts or bindings are helpful in keeping back protrusion of selected hernia, where surgery is not possible.
Piles is enlarged painful veins of the rectum and anus. It is generally associated with constipation, straining bowel movements. Surgery is recommended depending on the severity of the disease. In some cases self-care at home and remedies like warm water bath, dietary changes, stool softeners and sitting restrictions help to reduce the pain and swelling.
