Madhya Pradesh celebrates 71st Independence Day


Bhopal, Aug 15 (IANS): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday unfurled the tricolour here on the occasion of the country's 71st Independence Day, officials said.

The Chief Minister took part in a colourful programme in Motilal Nehru Stadium here. He also inspected the guard of honour and took the salute.

Those present in the programme held the tricolour in their hands.

Besides Bhopal, programmes, which included rallies and flag hoisting, were organised across the entire state.
