Srinagar, Aug 19 (IANS): An activist of Jammu and Kashmir's ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was shot dead by militants in the state's Anantnag district on Saturday, police said.
Militants barged into the house of Muhammad Ishaq Parray in Dialgam area of Anantnag and fired at him from close range, a police officer said.
A critically injured Parray was taken to Anantnag hospital where doctors declared him dead, the officer added.
