Lucknow, Aug 30 (IANS): A Head Constable was killed and two constables were critically wounded when their van was hit by a speeding bus in Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
Police said the incident took place near the Thandi Pyayu police station and that the Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Corp (UPSRTC) hit it head on.
Due to the impact of the collision, the police vehicle was smashed and rescuers had a tough time taking out Head Constable's body and the injured policemen.
The bus driver fled from the spot. The injured have been referred to a Meerut hospital.
