New Delhi, Aug 31 (DHNS): According to recent data on Google Trends with regards to the dreaded 'Blue Whale' challenge, India is one of the top 5 countries in which the term has been searched, with 62 percent interest.
Even in that, Kochi and Kolkata lead the world with 100 percent and 88 percent interest in the term, respectively. The other cities which lead the data are Naples, Palermo, Catania, Rome, Turin, Milan and Florence.
The data shows that interest and curiosity in the term started to rise around April 2016, when the 'game' went mainstream in Russia, following media reports, and has the object of much interest since then.
The search queries associated with the data include 'game blue whale', 'whale game', 'blue whale challenge', 'the blue whale' and 'download blue whale', while the animal itself remains the most searched related topic.
