Mangalore, May 24: There is no shortcut for success in life. Only hard work, total concentration and clear vision about one's goals can lead one to success, said Alwyn Patrao, deputy governor of Lions district.
Speaking at the valedictory of 'Summer Camp-2008' organized by the district Balbhavan committee, women and child welfare department, Lions Club of Kadri Hills, Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana and Padi, on Saturday, May 24, he noted that though one find changes in every aspects of life, one should not sacrifice one's social values at any cost.
Satishan, president of Lions Club Kadri Hills, said that every child has some latent talent but motivation is needed to nurture that talent, he opined.
K Pitambar of Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana was present on the occasion.
GertrudeVeigas welcomed the gathering. Gracy Gonsalves proposed the vote of thanks. Usha Kumari officiated the certificate distribution ceremony.
Children were given training in mask making, painting, singing, drama etc in the summer camp held here for five days.
