Bengaluru: 'Mangaluru Chalo' rally - CM advises home minister to take preemptive measures

Bengaluru, Sep 3: It is gathered that the chief minister (CM) wants all precautionary measures to be undertaken to ensure that no unwarranted incidents occur during the 'Mangaluru Chalo' motor bike rally. The rally, being organized by BJP Yuvamorcha, is set to begin on September 5.

CM, Siddaramaiah, is learnt to have passed on suitable instructions to newly inducted home minister, Ramalinga Reddy, in this respect.

When the minister met Siddaramaiah on Saturday, the CM, besides wishing him success in handling of the important home portfolio, also advised him to see that law and order is not disturbed during the said rally.

It is said that the bike rally is yet to get green signal from police department. The department, as per information, is scheduled to convene a meeting within a day or two to discuss all issues concerned and accord permission for the rally subject to fulfillment of conditions to be decided at the meeting. Permission from police department will be given after conditions for the same are decided, sources claimed.

    Let police dept., get ready to fine every bike rider without helmets, valid Driving License, RC, Insurance, pollution check certificate in the rally,
    Let there not be 3 riders in a single bike too.
    If they don't fine them, then police have no moral right to harass common citizens for the same mistakes too in future.
    There cannot be 2 Laws, one for party & other for rest.

    Even onlookers should also wear helmets just to protect thselves as there is a possibility of pelting stones from miscreants and blame our Forest Minister Ramanath Rai.
