Three killed in Uttarakhand road accident


Dehradun, Sep 4 (IANS): Two SSB personnel and a driver were killed on Monday when their vehicle fell into a deep gorge following an accident in Uttarakhand's Champawat district, police said.

The accident took place near Ghatighat when they were going to the Matiyani village to take part in a local festival.

Two other Sashastra Seema Bal members were critically injured, a police official said.

The victims were identified as head constable Sandeep Kumar Mishra (35), constable Aanchal Singh (25) and driver Raju Bhandari (35). Mishra was from Madhya Pradesh while Singh hailed from Rajasthan.
