Punalur (Kerala), May 27: Finally, 31-year-old Che Guevara from Kochi has found a bride in 24-year-old Shine Casteless and their wedding has been as radical as the names suggest.

There was no religious rites or conventional ceremony when the namesake of Latin American revolutionary icon entered into wedlock with shine, the suffix in whose name reflects her parents' radical outlook, at the sub-registrar's office here on Sunday.

After exchanging garlands in the presence of relatives, parents, friends and well-wishers, Che and Shine took a wedding pledge and signed the marriage register.

The parents of both Che and Shine came from communist background and it was their search for suitable partners for their children that led to the alliance.

An animator in a Dubai-based firm, Che's father Haneefa is a fan of revolutionaries, who named his sons after Che Guevara and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh. He had also left the religion and caste columns in the school records of his children blank.

The background of shine was no different either whose father Fasaluddin belonged to a Muslim family and mother Agnas hailed from a Christian family. They appended the surname 'Casteless' to the names of all their children as a mark of protest at the caste divisions in the society.
