Mangalore: Teachers Bid Adieu to Dr Linda Christi

Mangalore, May 29: A farewell was accorded to Dr Linda Christi, regional joint director of collegiate education, on Wednesday May 28 at SDM College of Business Management. 

K V Kodandaramaiah, director of collegiate education was the chief guest at the function organized jointly by association of Mangalore University and college teachers (AMUCT) and Karnataka government college teachers' association (KGCTA).

Addressing the gathering, he said that every college was becoming a mini university with postgraduate courses being introduced on its campus. He called on the lecturers to begin the academic year with renewed energy as their students were likely to prove themselves assets of society in the future.

A M Narahari, president, federation of university and college teachers' association, said that the person who leads the system becomes important along with that system. He added that Linda Christi led the system efficiently.

Newly-elected KGCTA president Dr H Prakash was also felicitated on the occasion. Dr Devraj, principal of SDM College of Business Management, Subrahmanya Bhat, and Suresh Rai, were among those present on the dais.

Joselyn T Lobo, president of AMUCT, welcomed the gathering. Ummappa Poojary proposed the vote of thanks and Dr R Narasimha Murthy compered the programme.
